Pick one or more - write in your journal!
- In your journal draw a row of 7 pennies. Next to the row, write the total value. Now draw a row of 7 nickels and write the total value next to it. Repeat with 7 dimes, 7 quarters, 7 half dollars and 7 dollar bills.
- Find 30 of the same object (30 Legos, 30 pennies, etc.) Can you find all the different ways to split 30 into 2 piles? (ex. 29 and 1). In your journal, make a list of all the combinations you found.
- Roll 3 dice (or pick 3 cards) and make a 3-digit number. Tell or write the two numbers that come before it. What are the two numbers that come after it? (ex. roll "2" , "1", and "5" make 521. 519 and 520 come before it. 522 and 523 come after it.)
- Ask 10-15 people their favorite flavor of ice cream. Make a neat and organized table, chart or bar graph to display your data. Remember to include labels.
- Ask 5 people their phone numbers including the area codes. Add the digits of each phone number together. Whose phone number has the highest value? Now add all 5 totals together to get a grand total.
